I got the following installation error when attempting to install AutoCAD LT 2011 on my laptop (Vista):
CRC failed in x86\support\dotnetfx\wcu\dotNetFramework\dotNetMSP\x86\NetFX3.0-929300-v6000-x86.msu
The file "???" header is corrupt
Any ideas?

Are you installing from an original disc or from a download?
If it's a download from AutoDesk try again because a CRC error would normally sugest that the source is corrupt.
All is not lost though as the dotnetfx (you want version 3.5 I believe) runtime software can be downloaded from Micros**t and/or other places.

I'm told it was a download, burned to a disc.
I looked into downloading dotnetfx 3.5, but found it was already listed as being on the hard drive, when viewing thru the uninstall software section of the computer's control panel. The warnings that come along with it in the windows download section are enough to deter me from attempting anything w/o some expert supervision.
Your thoughts?

1. Download acad again.
or
2. Copy the acad disc to a HD.
Download dotnetfx from MS, expand it and overwrite that part of the copy of the acad disc and install it all from the HD. Then make a new disc.
