Populating concrete beam elements with rebar

I'm trying to model rebar in a structural foundation system. Can anyone give me any hints as to populate each concrete beam using the all instances commands instead of placing rebar in each element one at a time?

Have you tried to use the Revit Extensions?

There are reinforcement tools in there that will allow you to populate all elements that are the same type.

i.e. all concrete columns, all concrete foundations, etc.

However, they have to all be reinforced with the same bars - size and shape.

Also, the extensions will only deal with basic reinforcement, I personally wouldn't trust it with anything more than beams, rectangular pads and columns.
