View Full Version : Type Selector in sketch mode doesn't "stick"

Being able to change an element type during sketch mode via the Type Selector is a welcome improvement. However I noticed that you still have to go through Edit Type if you want that choice to "stick" for future sketching/object creation. If you change the type with the TS in sketch mode, finish, and then start another object of the same category (floor, ceiling, filled region, whatever), the previous type is still active. You have to change the type each and every time if you want to use the TS while in Sketch Mode.

This seems rather counter-productive, don't you think? I have submitted a SR for this.

Confirmed. Bummer. Alternatively you can do a create similar and get it to stick. You don't even have to actually create floor. just create similar and cancel.

Yeah but that's pretty much the same number of operations as hitting Edit Type and selecting a type, which will remain for future sketch operations of that type of element.

Seems like they started with a good idea of having the type selector available in sketch mode, but it's not totally "there" yet.
