I am having trouble exporting my Revit scene as an FBX. First, I have some rhino geometry imported into the scene. I try to export the scene, everything freezes halfway through.
So I delete the crazy geometry and export. It exports. But they I try to read it with textures and materials in Unreal, and it freezes. Then I import without any materials or textures, and it still freezes. So...

The FBX file that Revit creates isn't a universal FBX file. It really only works with Max, so I'm sure that's the problem with trying to bring it into unreal.

Orly...
Can I export from FBX into maya, and then from maya to FBX, and that will work in Unreal? (tried it. Textures didn't come in. Then tried it in 3ds Max. Materials yes, textures, no. Shouldn't it be saving my textures in a separate file?)
Also, why would the FBX export hang with my Rhino-made geometry?

No, FBX to Maya wont work. Only FBX from Revit to Max at this point. Not sure why it would hang with imported geometry. It may "appear" hung but it's still processing? If it's complicated, it may take some time.
