Split Face makes Wall disappear

We have a project where some of the walls disappear in Plan view when we have split the face in elevation view. The wall hosted elements (windows, doors, etc.) still display.

RArch:2012 This is happening to a project I am working on as well. Troubleshooting consisted of removing the split faces and deleting the plan regions both resulting in walls re-appearing. In some cases while deleting multiple plan regions one by one, not all walls would re-appear. Also, pasting and re-creating the plan regions did not result in a solution.
