Linked file not casting shadows

I swear I haven't noticed this problem before, but a facade I linked into a project isn't casting shadows in elevation view.

To be clear, with no view template or overrides everything looks right, but I have a view template that I use to just show cast shadows- it basically is set up to override all lines to white and to show shadow intensity at 100%. Linked files are set to be displayed by host view, too. With this view template applied, no shadows are being cast from the objects in the linked file.

I know there's probably a hundred things that could be at issue, I just wonder if you have any suggestions.

I see there hasn't been an answer to this issue.

I have the same problem. I have 2 large buildings linked into a site plan. Components within the site file are casting shadows BUT the linked files are NOT casting shadows in a shaded view.

I've attached a Rendered view which shows the correct shadows and a screen shot of the shaded view.

Any have any ideas
