Before Revit 2012, you use to be able to go into the Revit.ini file and delete the recent projects from the file and clear your Projects & Families on the Recent Files page when you first open Revit.

Now in 2012 the Revit.ini file has moved (now under the C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Revit Architecture 2012\Program\UserDataCache folder), but more importantly no longer has the recent files listed within the Revit.ini file.

Does anyone know where that moved too? How do you clear the recent files page when Revit first opens?

Thanks

Is this where you want to be?

C:\Users\{user name}\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Revit\Autodesk Revit Architecture 2012

Yeah... I don't have that... Not sure where my "Roaming" folder is located.. Perhaps somewhere in the C:\Documents and Settings folder maybe...

That would be a no... I did a search for Roaming and did not find any folder with that name. Then I searched the entire C drive with no luck.

Could it be on a server, considering I have a network license from a network deployment?

C:\Documents and Settings?
Are you on XP?
Could be why you can't find the Roaming folder. Unfortunately, I don't have any XPs anymore so I can't tell you where to look.
But Harlan might:

Yeah, my machine is a 4 year old XP64, so I don't know where they hid the files that are in the Roaming folder. Maybe Harlan will see this post and provide me an answer. I posted a comment on the Revit Clinic site, but no response as of yet..

Can you check this location?
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Autodesk\Revit\<product name>\

No.. That tells me where the journal file is located. I tired clearing that folder to see if it resets the Recent Projects page of Revit, and it does not.

Thanks for the direction. What was interesting is that journal folder had copies of recent projects and families within the folder. Like a secret backup folder, which could be handy in the future if any problems arise.

I'm just looking for a way to reset the recent projects page when Revit first fires up... It really isn't that important, just a personal obsessive compulsive thing...

Thanks again
