When entering data, with a workset current and editable, the data is showing the view name instead of the workset name on the property palette.
What am I doing wrong?

2D Elements (text and lines) are view specific....so they cannot be placed on a different workset...

AHA!!!
I knew about view specific, and I knew about 2D items. I never put the two together in my mind.
It makes perfect sense now. View specific 2D items are entered into a view, not a workset,

Each view itself is actually a workset. If you open the Worksets dialog box, you will see your user-created work sets, and then check boxes at the bottom to also shows views, families, and project standards. Each line item is a workset. So each view, each family, and each project standard is in fact its own workset.
