I am trying to edit a stair in section with the cut profile command to clean up how it looks at the top floor. For some reason it keeps showing a line between the original stair and the new profile. I cannot use linework to hide it. How do I get rid of this line?
Thanks.

Use an opaque filled region with concrete as the pattern. Make sure the lines used to define the region's edges match the cut lines the region is covering.

Thanks, for the reply, but I didn't really want to go there.
I was hoping there was a way to remove this line. If I do a filled region I would not mess with the cut profile command at all.

Stairs cant / wont join to floors. Even if the material is the same.
We use the filled region method as well.

This has been a problem since way back in the day...
Masking regions will clean it up nicely for you, its really quite irrelevant as in plan it shows correctly so you're just tarting up your view to show a solid piece, although you do need to be aware that, if for example your throat thickness changes, that you need to edit your masking regions.

Did you try the Override Linework Tool? Change to invisible line, see if it works.
