Area Plans (again!)

Is it possible to set up an area plan so areas on different levels are recognised as part of the same area - and any scheduling takes this into account? For example, when giving the the area of a new apartment, the sum of the ground and first floor levels is needed. Revit doesn't seem to do this, even if the same name (eg apt.1) is given to the tags on the different levels.

Try adding a new field to your area schedule like "unit" perhaps. Then use this field to sort and group your schedule. If you give each pair of floors that should be totalled a distinct value you'll be able to summarize what you describe. If you don't want to see this column you can hide it after you've finished organizing the schedule.

What you can do is set up various area schemes, under settings
You can create as many as you need in the area settings.
Then when creating new area plans place them in the scheme reletive to what is needed, in your case place new GF & FF area plans together in one scheme. Tags added to that scheme are for that scheme only. Then add area schedules that apply to the scheme. I did additions/alterations, 1 scheme for Exist GF+FF. 1 for New GF+FF. 1 for Alterations GF+FF. Then just put all the area schedules together on a sheet.
