When producing a schedule, the various fields will be arranged side by side. Is there a way to arrange these on a column?

This would be usefull for element schedules, e.g., windows, doors, sanitaryware, etc, where you dedicate a sheet for each element type, or want to place them side by side.

In this situation, a table with info of the element would work better if placed vertically and not horizontally.

Or would there be a better in Revit to do this?

Thanks

This same topic came up exactly 1 week ago today.

One possibility: Think outside the box.

You can export schedules to Excel. Once in Excel, you have editing possibilities Revit will never come close to. In Excel, copy/paste special/transpose with make rows into columns and columns into rows.

Sure that's one possibility, but I'm sure everyone who asks this question would prefer native live schedules in Revit to able to have the headings oriented down the side instead of across the top.

Exactly. The point is trying to keep as much as possible with the same program so that it updates automaticly with no further steps.

I've check the post you mentioned. Apparently you can't put your fields is a column. I will need to think of another way to document what I need to.

Better schedule tools with better formatting abilities are definitely needed!
