Tagging Linked Components - Losing Hosts

Hello all,

I have a project in 2011 that is tagging objects in a linked file. Randomly, it seems, if the linked file is reloaded, some of the tags in the host are orphaned and need to be reconciled.

This happens on objects that have not even been moved or modified in any way in the linked file. It is very frustrating to rehost the tags only to have them 'unhost' for no reason as random times.

Any ideas?

This must be a real head-scratcher Have I stumped the Revit elite?

It happens at very random times, only after STC. It's quite a large hospital (1.3m sf) that is being linked into an equipment file (where the tagging occurs).

Any help would be appreciated as this is angering the worker bees.

has anyone else come across this?

I just lost a LOT of tag hosts, and im not happy about having to re associate, as I dont know when they will break again..

Any ideas on the cause....
