Unable to select objects

I am having a weird problem. There are a few families and model lines in our project that do not highlight when I pass my cursor over it. The only way I can select them is by dragging and making a box with my cursor.

The objects are in my workset and I have made them editable, but they still don't highlight when I pass my cursor over them. Also, as I said, this is only affecting a few families and model lines, most of the families and objects are acting normal.

Has anyone else had this problem and does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Try temporarily changing your visual style to wireframe, that usually works for me.

My guess is that they are in a design option. Look at the bottom of the screen. there should be a drop down box that says Main Model (or whatever the active option is). If you choose one of the other options to be active, then you should be able to select the objects that are a part of that option.

Thanks for the replies! The wireframe view worked and allowed me to select the model lines that were located on the floor plane!

I discovered that any 2D families and model lines that were located directly on the floor plane were unable to be selected, but if I offset them above the floor plane by even .1mm they were selectable. My suspicion is that the structural floor slab, which is linked in, may be slightly above our floor plane.

The weird thing is that they were still visible. I would think that if the model lines were even slightly embedded into the floor slab that they would not show up.

I'm not sure if this is actually the issue, but I can't think of anything else.
