This may be a basic question, but I have not been able to find an answer searching the forums.

I have a series of walls set up which attach to sloped roofs at various heights. What I want to do is apply a wall sweep profile of a 2x4 every 5 inches in order to create a rain screen system. Is there a way to do this other than duplicating the sweep and setting them 5" apart individually? Ideally I'd like it to be something that will add and remove profiles as the walls grow/shrink without having to adjust the sweeps manually. Is this possible?

You can add both sweeps and reveals to the wall definition but there are some drawbacks.

- Those sweeps can not be turned off in VG settings because they are part of the wall. So if you put a baseboard sweep in, it will be in all plans at all scales - not what you want.
- You have to have enough sweeps defined in your wall to cover your tallest wall. And each one has to be placed in the definition. They are not "repeating" automatically.
- Embedded wall sweeps will not trim at angles in sloped conditions like gables. They only trim square.

In most cases, I find that these are better done as individual sweeps in elevations.
