Line type from family not displaying right in model

We have a model that is overriding the family line type. In the family we have it as a dashed line, when we bring it in to the model it shows as a solid line with a dashed line under it. Does any one know why this is happening? We've tried overriding it in view, or object styles and no luck.

The line types, materials and such are determined by the project settings(i.e. project will override the family). In your project find a dashed line type and use that name in the family
