Our drawing sets have begun to exhibit very slow reloading of Xref files. The files seem to have a large amount of *something* hidden in them since there are not a lot of actual objects shown. I am attaching an example of the issue. The 100156e.dwg file is the master file and the 100156fcl wblock.dwg is the file that is referenced into it. Can anyone suggest how to strip these files down?
Things I've already tried:
Purge
-purge "R"
wblock
"cleargroups" which I found in this forum
None of these have helped. I also exported a DXF of the xref file in question. I notice that there are TONS of entries in one of the dictionaries and also way too many scale entries. Does anyone know how to automate the deletion of these? I would post it, but the file size is over the allowed limits.
