Thin line only when line is horizontal or vertically

I am trying to try a line with a thickness of 9. When I draw it horizontally or vertically it looks like thin lines is turn on. When I turn thin lines on the line either shortens or disappears. If I rotate the line it looks normal with a 9 thickness. Thanks

What happens when you print it?
Sounds like a video card issue or a monitor setting. I'm thinking resolution?
Just a stab in the dark, but I know I had issued before with things drawn on angles on screen before, but they always seem to print fine.

Is this by chance a drafting or legend view with nothing but that line in it? Those 2D views always tend to act a bit crazy if that first element you place is only a drafting line. It's like it has nothing else to base the scale of the view upon or something, and therefore has trouble displaying the line weight correctly. Once you get some other lines and detail components in there everything should work as normal.
