I have a large project. We are in the middle of a floor area analysis and I would like to highlight rooms on the schedule that are either "Redundant Room" or "Not Enclosed". Unfortunately, the conditional formatter expects areas to be a number and only provides numerical comparisons, even though it is Revit itself generating the textual content. Many programming languages allow text to be compared by their ASCII code (eg. abc > xyz) but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Am I out of luck?

There are display options for such room conditions on the Ribbon that will alter the rooms that you can see in the schedule.

Mike,
Duplicate your schedule and change the sorting to 'By Area'. This will push all of these rooms to the top or bottom depending on if you have it set to Ascending or Descending. Once you have your list of rooms, the take care of them by either placing them properly in plan or deleting ones not required for the project.
I'm suffering through the same thing on my current project. I have >70 rooms that are either redundant or not enclosed. Luckily it isn't my model, and I can request our project lead to fix it. I just have to match my room numbers to theirs.
Best of luck,
Jeff S.
