View Full Version : View title

I have a modified view title that I have used in multiple projects. In all of my projects (except one!) the view title shows up as a circle and extension line with a lineweight of 1. I have one project where it shows up printing like a lineweight 5.
I've checked the family in the offending model file for the following:
1) The family of the view title on the sheet has the lineweight set to 1.
2) I've checked the VG and Object Styles to see if view titles have a lineweight set incorrectly; nope.
3) I've re-imported the view title family (just to make sure) and I've checked the view title family in other projects (even re-imported the same view title to make sure it had not changed).

Any ideas? It is just kinda driving me buggy that in this one project the view title shows up drawn with heavy lines.
Any help for this nitpicky complaint would be appreciated.

Is it the line or the circle that is not plotting correctly?
The line (line weight) is in the custody of the "family type" and the circle (line weight) is in the posession of the Object Styles, Annotation Objects, View Titles.

Maybe one of those is not set correctly for your project..
(after reading your post ..again, sounds like you checked those)
Or maybe the line weight is over-ridden?

Overridden.
Bah! I checked it 4-5 times and it would not let me override graphics (all grayed out)....then I zoomed out and selected the "right" object and what do ya know....the object was overridden to lineweight 7! Argh....been annoyed by that title for a few weeks now.
Thanks for the input.

I need a flow chart just to check my flow-chart of places to check when things don't look right! Manage tab>Object Styles>Annotation Objects>View Titles...there it is! Oh but don't forget to check your (TL) setting when applying line weight changes!!!
