Constraints to linked instances

I am suddenly getting an error in a shared workset environment:

Constraints may not be created to linked instances using Shared Sites.
Somebody on the team (it could even be me) created some kind of constraint. I'm thinking it might be a locked dimension to a column line that is in the core and shell link file. It makes sense to me not to lock to a link since it will be swapped out from time to time invalidating the constraint.

Anyone seen this one before?

I just got that error with another one:

Superstructure : Constraints : Linear Dimension Style : id 6084253

you can "remove constraints", but what am I removing?

If you expand the warning dialog you'll see a listing of the items to be removed or deleted, usually with element IDs also. You may then cancel and locate the specific item using that iD.
This is 'detective' work, but useful if you really want to know.
Most times I simply forge ahead, and wait for the results to appear. No harm, no foul - (as Chick always said).
