Hello,
I have a site model with a couple Revit Links loaded into it for specific buildings. For some reason, some walls have a bright orange override, and the columns have a blue dot in the center of them. This is only visible in the site file. In the Building files, everything displays as designated. I have tried changing the appearance in Visibility Graphics, but it does not seem to help. any ideas why I am having this problem?

The blue dot is probably the "analytical display" of the structural columns in your linked model.
You can turn it off in VG>Revit Links>Custom>Analytical Categories>Analytical Columns

see attached.

The orange highlight could be a similar setting for bearing walls? Not sure about that one.

cheers

I dont see analytical model as a tab in my visibility graphics. I don't use revit structure, is this limited to the structural variant of revit?

i found this link, which seems similar to my problem.... but i checked the box, and no ANALYTICAL MODEL tab showed up in Vis Graphics. what am i missing?

2011 doesn't have that Analytical Model tab. The analytical model visibility for each category is controlled as a subcategory under the various model categories.

Do you have the link visibility set by the host model, or are they all custom? If custom, just go in and turn off the analytical model under the Structural Columns and Walls categories, or turn them off in the view itself if the links are controlled by the host model (I thought they were off by default in RAC but maybe not).

I fixed it by deleting the link and reloading. I first went into the building file and found these settings. they had the same resemblance when i checked the analytical model box. For some reason, the visibility settings in the Site Model were not updating. I had to remove the link and load it back in, and now it displays correctly.

yep--sometimes links don't "refresh" properly and have to be reloaded completely.

glad you got it working. how about the orange walls?
