License is NOT checked out

Revit (flexlm) says I can't check out a license because I already have it checked out.

um, I really, really don't. All the rest are in use and accounted for.

Any ideas? is there a better forum for this?

Don't panic. I couldn't figure anything else out so I just asked all the other users to save and exit and restarted the Flexlm service. All licenses are available again. Still no idea what caused it.
