I am currently working on a project with numerous reveals in my walls. The customer wants to have the dimensions go to the center of the reveals. My question is does anybody know a way that I can put an invisible centerline in the reveal itself or another way to go about dimensioning to the center of the joint.

You could create reference planes at the center of your reveals. That would give you something to dimension to.

What Reno said, or draw some symbolic invisible lines in elevation.

I think the OP is asking if there is an automatic way to plave an invisible or centerline in the Profile Family
itself, so he doesn't need to waste time drawing lines in the elevations to dimension to.

I took a quick look at a typ. reveal Profile family, added a centerline, loaded into the project but no luck.

There probably IS a way to nest in a line based family or something--but I don't have time right at the moment.
