We've been having an issue with ceiling hosted families, they look fine and suddenly they are not visible anymore and we found them on the floor and I don't have a way of bringing them back to the ceiling.
Have anyone experienced something like that? Are we doing something wrong when creating the families? or it is something we do on the model?
Thanks a lot for the help,

It's infinitely easier to use work plane based or face based templates for things that go on a ceiling. This way you can attach them to things that aren't a ceiling.

Most families can be "rehosted". However, this does not address the root issue of why your ceiling hosted families are dropping to the floor.

It sounds like these are "face based" not ceiling hosted. I've seen lots of awful elec. models with exit signs on the floor instead of hte ceiling. It was typically user error.

I created this family myself from a Ceiling Hosted Revit family template, I don't know exactly what is face hosted, can they change?,
Thanks,

Who knows? Perhaps you should post the family and let someone see what is going on with it.
