View Full Version : View range/Plan region interference?

I have a floor plan in which I have set up the view range with an underlay of the level above to show the roof line over dotted. This works fine, and I had a plan region to show some elements of a pergola attached to the roof, which also works fine. The problem is that I have edited the roof, changing the overhang by 10mm (bigger), and now my roof is not visible not matter how I adjust the view range or underlay. The roof reappears when I delete the plan region, but not when I move it to make sure it is not touching the roof (I thought that might be it). Is there any interaction/interference between plan regions and view range?
The annoying thing is that I had it with the correct view range show the roof and the plan region showing the pergola, but after editing it I can't get them both to work. I have no idea what the problem is. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Chad,
It could be several things (from my limited experience anyway). Let's check a couple of things.....firstly, in the plan's "View Properties" check the visibilty and make sure the roof lines are on, ....feed us some more details....someone in here will come up with the right move

I changed the view properties to display the roof as a hidden line (using the view properties-visibility) which worked fine. I added a plan region which also worked fine, but when I edited the original roof I could no longer show both roof outline and plan region (what the PR was displaying)
Ok, I was just playing some more and I got it to work. It seems as if the plan region is effecting the underlay some how, dose this sound right? Dose it have something to do with the view range of the region and view range of the view? These two look like they influence each other, ie can't have them set to the same height? It seems very odd to me.I would still like to know what is going on, I always seem to have trouble with view range and plan regions.
