Current office situation:
2 Revit stations + 4 AutoCAD stations.
All licenses are stand-alone. We have never had network licenses and I know very little about them.
Future situation:
I've been doing a bit of a thinking about the next 12 months and the process of upgrading the remaining users onto Revit. This process will happen 1 user at a time about every 3 months. Since we have only a small drawing office, management will not allow upgrading more than 1 user at a time to avoid down time through training.
Now... obviously we will still require AutoCAD for opening past projects and projects received from outside the office, etc. etc, but not for detailing Revit projects.
So I was thinking of having 1 AutoCAD network per 3-4 users, for the odd AutoCAD task.
I wanted to get some comments from others who have been in this situation. Has it worked for you? Do you think that 1 network AutoCAD license will be enough to share around 6 users?
