Visibility settings for wall lines?

Hi gang,
I've been "out of the loop" for a while on some of this so forgive me if this is now in "Revit 101".
Is there a way of putting certain parts of walls on a Visibility Setting like you can with families?
e.g. we want to have internal linings of external walls to be placed on that wall type, but it's not something we wish to show on your average 1:100 Floor Plan. However it is something that will be displayed on more detailed views, sections etc.
....anyone be able to point me in the right direction?

You can use Detail Level settings to control this at different scales---Coarse, Medium and Fine
will do this automatically.

If you need more control than this, consider modeling separate walls, and use Filters to turn the individual walls on/off in views with Filters in Visibility Graphics.

You can also control the way walls display globally using Object Styles, in Visibility Graphics.

I'll ask just in case - is there a way to only see the core boundary, or is the only option in coarse display to see the overall limits of the finish?

Hi Cliff,
Thanks for the response. I think these are features on ver. 2012 (which we are yet to install :-/ ...gotta upgrade the hardware first). Those Detail Level settings you mentioned are available for families etc in 2011 and earlier but not for walls (?)
The other 2 methods may be worth a look at. I hope we can get 2012 on soon.
