This is a little bit different question, I did a search, not what I was looking for. As usual, I apologize for double posting.
I am working with a model provided to me from the architect. So I am modifying the model to show walls and soffits for coordintation with the other trades (BIM). Walls to deck, no problem. Soffits to deck, no problem. However, most soffits don't need to go to deck. Most go to 6" above the finished ceilings with a support stud going to deck at 48" o.c.. That is the stud, that I am fighting against modeling. ONE, I don't know how. TWO, argument if necessary. So, what if I have to model it? How do I show a wall with ONE stud traveling to deck at 48" o.c.? Any ideas?
Since I am a newb, I have ideas.
My idea is, can I draw a curtain wall on top of the "short" soffit wall that goes 6" above finished ceiling? Can I do a curtain wall without glass?
Any hints, directions, tutorials, that could get me close?
