modeling question

I need to model a pipe running like the attachment, so from one height to another height. I am using the sweep w/ picked model line as the path. I want to know what is the best way to draw the model line(s) connection the 2 levels and making that 90 degree turn? I hope I described clearly.

Make sure each end of the model lines does touch the end of the next model line, then when you create the pipe in place, select sweep, then select pick edges, then just select the model lines as your path
