Opening by Face issue

So I found that you can not simply cut geomety on a concrete beam to make a plumb cut on a sloped beam. I was able to find a solution on these forums using Opening by face. This works really really good except for one thing. The face that is cut does not display a concrete hatch pattern. It is solid red (the color for the rest of my beams). Anyone run into this problem?

Could you "paint" the conc. material onto those spots?

Or change the "red material" to a conc. material.

Perhaps you could change the Cut Material from solid red to a concrete fill pattern using Object Styles
under Visibility Graphics?
