Something is Amiss

Everytime I open Revit (either new file or existing file) & try to load a component from "my documents" Revit switches off completely & I'm left staring at my Desktop

This started Saturday evening & is consistent today

I tried AVG Virus check & found I had I-Worm/Befra ~ this was quarantined by AVG

Problem is still happening after quarantine though

Any thoughts of what to do??

I have no clue, other than ask and suggest a REPAIR install
if Revit supports such a function.
OR if it only crashes with content from MY DOCUMENTS location
move the components for today.

I might also suggest that in addition to the quarantine, you should
use the Anti-Virus site and follow all removal and repair procedures
listed for that particular bug.

P.S. I wouldn't be telling everyone you have worms.

See if this (http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/bofra.html) renders any aid.

Thank you ..... I downloaded that .. but that fix just runs for ages then I get "encountered problem & have to close" message ~ seems to stall on the same item as well ... when I do a thorough search for the item I get zero ...

Getting a bad case of paranoia here

Infamy .. Infamy .. They've all got in for me

What a Carry on

Still having same problems with Revit shutting down & going to Desktop

(Windows XP Service Pack 1 with masses of SP2 downloads & 4 SP3 downloads)
I can try a screen capture of Belarc read out if that helps anyone

Hope i'm not just stating the obvious here, but is there any reason you can't just uninstall then re-install revit?

If that doesn't work i'd say it will require some registry editing...?
