I know this is not the Struct forum but this is not necessarily a struct questions.
I need a tag for structural columns that can be modified. I need the angle and length to be editable. Ideally I would just be able to click & drag it but it doesn't seem that easy. I think this is one area that Revit fails miserably. As you can see from the images attached I need to lengthen the line for a few tags. I would have to create another family just for 2 tags! I could easily create text but that would defeat the purpose of using revit if I am manually tagging items.
So from searching forums so far the only solution I have found is to create a Label & Reference Line within a Detail Group. Then you can constrain it and set parameters for some predefined angles. It stinks that I have to create multiple instances for different angles but w/e. The one thing I wasn't able to do is make the length of the line adjustable. If you could please take a look at my tag and maybe tell me where I went wrong and possibly suggest a better solution? I really appreciate it, thanks!
