This may be in here somewhere, but this new forum is dog slow on a brand-new quad core computer and searching is a real chore. Anyhow, I have 5 week-old installs of AutoCAD 2012 stand-alone on Win 7 Professional 64 bit platforms, and I'm having a couple of issues.
1- The crosshairs go away. Gone. Invisible. Outside Acad the cursor is there, on other dwgs that are open the crosshairs are there. But on random drawings, for no particular reason, the crosshairs just go away, and the only way to get them back is to close that dwg and reopen it. Whassup with that?
2- This may be something silly that I can't find the right setting for, but when I turn off a single layer, and then turn it back on, it is still invisible in the VP I'm working in. Layer Mgr says that layer is on/unlocked/thawed/visible in all VPs. The layer is visible in model space tab, and in other VPs on the layout tab but the one VP in which I turned it off. Only way to get it back is to use RESTORE in the layer states manager. Any thoughts on this? What am I missin'?
