Signage Tag

I'm looking for a good solution to creating our signage plans. I can create a face based family easily enough, and I can create the tag graphics, but what I would like to be able to do is 'tag all' and have *only* the signage be tagged, not all generic models. I have tried using subcategories, but that didn't work. Any ideas?

If you create a filter for your view to isolate just your signage families you can then select all of them in the view and tag only 'selected objects' in the view.
The other option, rather than messing with a plotted view, is to do this in your working view and then copy/paste to the plotted view.
