Dimension tick mark [Archive]

Hi Guys,

I am trying to adjust the length of my dimesion tick mark but no luck. Is anyone out their to help of some tricks on how to change this tick mark length?

Select the dimension, & then edit properties. You''ll see a tick mark parameter with a drop-down list of available tick marks, one of which is a smaller diagonal slash than the default one.

I agree the default diagonal arrowhead is WAY too long. All our template dimension types have the arrowhead set to Diagonal at 3/64" with a line weight of 4.

It has always baffled me why OOTB Revit (standard template) dimensions are so "ugly". This is usually one of the first things I have to change when entering a new production environment. Standard drafting practice, manual or automated, should set the tick size equal to one-half the text height (i.e. 3/32" text with 3/64" tick).
