Hi,
I am trying to create a vineyard fence/trellis to follow the topography of a site. It is to hold up the grapevines across a few acres of land.
I am having trouble creating a fence that follows the contours of the topography.
Any tips or tricks?
Thanks,
-K

Use a curtain wall and edit elevation profile.

Yep, I had to do this last week on a rendering with a chain link fence surrounding a large site. Luckily the fence only really had 6 segments, so I placed reference planes where the fence needed to go, placed a curtain wall with round vertical mullions and panels with a chain link fence material, and then placed sections on each ref plane (they'll snap to ref planes) and then moved off a few inches. Then I edited the profile of each fence segment to follow the topography (sketched bottom line, then offset copied up 8 feet).
It was tedious, but it got the job done. Luckily my topography was already in its final state.

Check out EaglePoint Landd cadd for Revit.
I believe it will build walls/fences that follow the toposurface; if you have an extra $3K to spend!!! LOL.
