I spotted this building in the architectural press, and thought it looks impossible to model. I'm sure it isn't, but it got me thinking what is, and do you have a equally worthy candidate?

Not at all, that is one of the simpler to model in revit, you would make all your mass forms, then use the wall by face/roof by face etc. For the really thick walls you would do inplace walls which can be any form of extrustions you want. these can host windows. If you do a search you can see someone modelled Ron Champ years ago in revit.

We worked with Bernard Tschumi on his design for the University of Cincinnati Athletic Center which we modeled all of the steel and precast concrete using FormZ in 2003. The model was used directly in the creation of the formwork for the precast. The building has over 450 pieces of precast of 150 different shapes. The building does not look as complicated as it is. When I started using Revit, I wanted to see if it would be possible to make parametric precast panels. It is one of the most complex things I have tried.
Apparently you cannot load an image into another thread that has already been posted. You can see an image of the building here:

Let's ask the question another way:
Has anyone ever found a building they could not model with Revit?
We were able to design the World Trade Center in 2004 with Revit 5.X. At the time no one believed it was possible. Revit had to overcome the skepticism of people who had never used anything but A*****D. We didn't listen to them.......
Working with Revit at that time was one amazing discovery after another. The broadcasting tower, cable structure and observation deck were incredible. The Revit factory in Waltham covered a whole wall in their reception area with a rendered aerial view of it. Many thanks to Matt and Phil.
[I would post it, but we were not allowed to keep images]

Scott:
I would so love to have an .RVT of Ronchamp to look at!
If you can find it, please do post!
I really wish that Adesk would include a few more samples of things like that made with the program. For the learning AND fun value.

With the improvement to the massing tools it would not be that difficult except you have to have something to work from to recreate it. FormZ used to have a model of Ronchamp on the cover of their manuals about 10 or more years ago..
