Text Alignment question

I have two text copied from another file, I want them to align on top. when I move one text, I saw dash blue alignment line at the bottom. I checked text property, there is no vertical align but horizontal align which was set to left. I checked the "modify | text notes" tab on top, it is the same: align left, attachment on top on both left & right.
How do i change them to top align?? I feel stupid.
