Hi,

I have a question about snaping groups to grid lines...I understand how to flex a unit in plan by snaping geometry to a grid line and then pulling the grid like a handle to flex the unit....but what if I make my unit a group and want to snap the same wall to a grid line....if I snap the entire group to A grid line, then when I move the grid line the whole group will move with it.
But is it possible to flex the wall with a grid snap, when the wall is within a group? Should I then include the grid line with the group, and then edit the group how ever I want?
Thanks allot for any help!

Your best bet is to remove the wall that you want to snap to the grid line from the group. With removing the one wall you want to stay with the grid, it allows your group to not change, but stay connected to the locked wall.

If you add the grid line to the group then each time you use the group you will have a grid line (unless that will be beneficial to you). The outcome will still be the same, whether you add the grid line to the group or keep the grid line outside.
