View Full Version : Problems with OSNAP: Intersection ACAD 2012

We ran into a mysterious problem where we are unable to snap to an intersection even though the two lines intersect....both are on the same Z plane. The only difference/oddity I've noticed is that when listed, one of the lines is noted with a current UCS & a 3D length for one of the lines:

LINE Layer: "A-FLOR-LEVL-N"
Space: Model space
Handle = 1f6ca6
from point, X=148'-6 5/16" Y=443'-8 1/4" Z= 0'-0"
to point, X=164'-8 1/16" Y=443'-8 1/4" Z= 0'-0"
Length =16'-1 3/4", Angle in XY Plane = 0.00
Delta X =16'-1 3/4", Delta Y = 0'-0", Delta Z = 0'-0"

LINE Layer: "A-FLOR-OVHD-N"
Space: Model space
Handle = 1c5075
from point, X=157'-1 9/16" Y=418'-11 1/16" Z= 0'-0"
to point, X=157'-1 9/16" Y=460'-2 1/16" Z= 0'-0"
In Current UCS, Length = 41'-3", Angle in XY Plane = 90.00
3D Length = 41'-3", Angle from XY Plane = 0.00
Delta X = 0'-0", Delta Y = 41'-3", Delta Z = 0'-0"

Our intention is to continue in 2d and I can't seem to find a command that works. I tried flatten, but that's not a command in 2012 (and I think that works for meshes & arcs).

Please HELP! Thanks!

It might be that the z is so small as to be displayed as 0. Flatten is an express tool, you need to have those installed to use them, they're not part of the default install. Otherwise there's several other lisps you could search for - doing much the same.

Alternatively, since flatten is not available, manually select the lines and in the properties palette, make the Start Z and End Z to 0, even if its already displaying 0.000. Then try snapping to intersection, lets see if that works.
