Element ID as parameter

Hi, I'm wondering if it's possible to assign the Element ID of a curtain wall panel (or element from any category) as a parameter in its family? It will be very useful in a sense that instead of tagging every panel manually and assigning a number to each element, we could go by the Element ID, which Revit already has anyway.
