Profile at end of walls

How do I change the profile of the end of a wall (on a plan view)?

I know I can do it at inserts by chaning the opening shape within a door or window family, but I can't work out how to do it at the end of the wall.

One way to do this is to create a new wall type compose of only a finish material, like gypsum board. The wall would be the thickness of gypsum board. It can then be placed where the chamfers are, and if you are careful you can achieve the chamfer effect as the gypsum wall joins the other walls.

I find it incredible that its not possible to simply alter the profile of the end, in much the same way as inserts. Yet another basic failing of Revit.

Is there some way to cut an in-place mass from the wall?

Paul,
you can create an in place void family to accomplish this if you choose (not a 'mass'). If you run into this condition often in your projects then I'd suggest creating a simple face based family that you can place at the ends of walls. It can have adjustable width and chamfer sizes if required.
Can you give us some idea of scale here? How thick is that wall and the layers of, what I assume are masonry?
