Hello everybody!

Does anybody know how to import a .sdnf file in Structural Detailing 2012? I need to work with a steel structure that was created with Autodesk Plant 3D 2012.

Thank you!

The way I see is:

Create the structure you need in ACAD plant.
Create the suporting structure in ASD
Overlap them in Naviswork.

Hi,

You can import an SDNF file into Revit Structure using the extensions ribbon and then link the Revit Steel frame to ASD.

I would say that your best bet is to download the object enabler for Plant 3D and then create the steelwork directly in ASD

There is no way to import *.sdnf file into AutoCAD Structural Detailing 2012.

Unitec developed an intelligent SDNF Import Interface for AutoCAD PLANT 3D
and for Mechanical systems like Inventor. Additional for ASD there will be an
Interface soon available too. Based on geometry we provide a multi-CAD
SDNF Export interface e.g. AutoCAD. May be this give some ideas :)
