Does anyone know if Autodesk is working on similar for tablets?

I wish we had a place outside of Revit where you can open your model (after exporting) to review and I mean review in a format similar to google maps, where you can zoom, free spin with just your 2 fingers. Im guessing that a program similar to Design Review could work, that way the model cant be edited in any way or form but you could zoom and spin around your model and look for missing items and all this on a mobile platform like a tablet. Anyone using an android smart phone that has used google maps would know what type of simple format Im talking about. Again if anyone has thought about this too feel free to add your input on this matter below.

Thanks,

Sergio

We are using something called TEKLA BIM sight. We are working with AutoCAD, REVIT and Microstation files. You can inport any of these (and many more) and do walkthroughs, 3D spin and sectioning on the fly.

Go to www.telka.com

Hey John! Nice Tekla shout out. Just an FYI Tekla is NOT an Autodesk program but it does read 3D AutoCAD files very well. For now, it’s free to download and use. We use it on a daily basis. Not sure if they have released their tablet version yet, I did hear a rumor that it’s in the works.

Tekla is a great way to go and can read a multitude of formats.. As of a month ago, Autodesk released a version of Design Review for Android and it's already been available for the iPad since summer of 2011.. You can export the 3D Revit model to DWF/DWFx, upload it to the Autodesk Cloud and read them directly there.. Saved camera as well as 2D views can be saved in there..

Here's the itunes/iPad download page:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/design-review-mobile/id459112753?mt=8

Here's the Google Market download page:

Good luck..
