Calculating totals of room and area SF

Is there a way to get the square footages in room and area scheules to calculate the total values. I have been doing it manually which is not very BIM. The individual rooms or areas show up great.

See the image. Go to the properties of the schedule. You need to tell Revit to provide totals in the Sorting/Grouping tab and set the area parameter to calculate totals in the Formatting tab.
