All,

Currently working on a project with multi-colored metal panels.
i have modeled it in curtainwall family by replacing the 'Glaze' to Metal wall.
i seemed like it was working well in both elevations and renderings. but somehow i just found out that it doesn't really working in floor plan because it is showing curtainwall joints/mullions on the floor plan.

I also tried splitface and paint with basic wall but not too happy with it.

someone's suggesting 2 walls(curtain walls and basic walls).

what do you think?

Maybe if you approach it from a different angle: what is the construction of the wall system? Let's say it's a steel structure with infill and cladding. Then I'd go with a standard wall. In that case, I think the two walls is a good idea. Or use a standard wall for structure and interior finish, then an in-place mass in the Walls category for the panels?

Can you sketch out the color/pattern you're after? You might could do 2 different wall types, with the exterior panel color being the only difference, draw them both in the correct places so that they overlap one another, and then join geometry. Make sure the piece that needs to stay and cut the other piece is the one you pick first.
