Attach Roof to Wall

It used to be (pre 2011 I think) that you could use the Join/Unjoin Roof tool to extend a roof to a vertical wall plane. Does anyone have a good way to do this now, other than to draw a separate roof piece and join the two roofs?

Still works fine for me in 2012. Never seen a roof not be able to be extended to a vertical wall surface.

*edit* I see you're working with a wall with an edited profile shape. For some reason a roof doesn't want to extend to such a wall, even when the portion of the roof being extended fully butts up to the wall surface.

So it seems to work if the wall is simply extended up to the roof above. But if the wall has an edited profile shape, the roof will not extend.

I'm betting it's always been this way.

Ok, maybe that is the part that changed. I'm sure that in the past it was been possible to extend a roof to a profile edited wall, as long as the portion of the roof that you were extending was all making contact with the wall. Thanks for the feedback!
