Wall Cleanup

I'm trying to get clean joins between two walls--one full-height and one partial-height--and a column, as shown in the attached JPG. Unfortunately, I've been able to get every kind of join EXCEPT the one shown in red. Thanks, in advance, for any help and suggestions you can offer.

Wall joins suck.
Having said that, I have often resorted to using a "wall" that is 1/2" thick, to simulate a caulk joint, that can be placed at the end of a regular wall and used to make the regular wall terminate at an angle. You could try terminating your curved wall with one of these caulk joint walls

Have a look, what I did:
Disallow joins on both walls
pulles them to where I wanted them to be
Used the "Join" Tool (NOT "Allow Joins")
