Possible to show cut pattern in plan and not in section?

We use a solid grey fill in our stud space to identify insulation but I don't want this to show in section, is this possible? Thanks

If I understand your intent, the answer is no. If both, plan and section, are viewed as Fine, then they will look similar. Sorry,

You can accomplish this by using the course fill for plan views and medium or fine in section (or visa versa). That may create other issue though.

Another way of doing this is to over-ride the model pattern in the section view to white. The side effect is that this effects all elements in that view ( ie the floor in the image posted )

It would often be very useful, if we could over-ride the cut or surface pattern in a view on an element by element basis, the same way that the line patterns can be over-ridden.
