Revit links not cutting in section!

Hi guys, I have a structural model linked into my architectural and I cannot seem to cut the link in sections. All I can see is the 'elevation' of the link whilst my architectural cuts. I have the link set as by host view and the view extents correct. Any ideas?

Is the structural model a Revit model or is it a imported dwg?

You will essential need to import the dwg into a generic model then insert the GM into your project.

Not sure what to do about it if it is a linked Revit model, haven't dealt with them.
